Karen Evans
Background

This picture was taken at a recent exhibit in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.   I am busy painting for upcoming shows and teaching art lessons.

My earliest memories are of drawing and painting; always wanting to become an artist.  I have worked with a wide variety of mediums while teaching and painting.  Currently, I am enjoying working with oil on representational subjects and acrylics/mixed media on abstracts.  My paintings are in private and public collections in the United States, Great Britain and South America.

My Studio Helper is my beloved Westie, who has been at my side for 12 years.  He is blind, limping and requires a lot of vetsulin and other meds....but is still happy and wagging his tail to stay in the studio.  My Tuesday and Thursday night painting groups love him.  He only has to leave when he requires too much attention from the artists and takes time away from their canvas activities! They keep bringing him treats, so now he is attending Weight Watchers.  He is a wonderful dog.  I will love him forever.
