Hay Stacks NC
by Karen Evans on 12/27/2009 5:53:19 PM

I was driving along Farmington Road and saw this beautiful pasture. I stopped to sketch and take some pictures for references. I used a much brighter palette than Mother Nature provided in this painting.  Toning my canvas set the mood....several landscapes are being painted from these references.  North Carolina has many beautiful landscapes ready to paint!

Hi, Karen,
Just stopped by your blog to take a look at some of your latest paintings. The haystack painting is awesome, and the teacups are beautifully painted.....pretty detailed, I'm sure. Hope you are well, and that your school job is also going well.
Things here are about the same. Just took my mother to the doctor today....a job in itself. She is doing pretty good. I'm the one that is stressed. Ha! Take care and keep up the wonderful painting.
Jerry:)
